It is advised that all Electronic Match Card officials ensure that any player who could be involved in their club's first league game is tested on the actual Match Card for that fixture.

• It ensures that the player has renewed their registration
• It ensures he has been assigned to the relevant team
• There have been some glitches where it was impossible to select, even if they have been renewed and assigned. If this happens, then by unassigning and reassigning, the system is reset, and the individual is then selectable.

By doing these checks early, if any other problems arise, you will have 10 days to resolve them. It is expected the RFU registration helpline will be extremely busy next week!
